Introduction: The background of the Cement Industry in the Republic of Yemen reflects a concentration of all the existing Cement Plants to the western Side of this country. Besides this there has been a gap between the Supply and demand consistently over the past several years on account of which Cement is being imported from neighbouring countries like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,Oman,Egypt and at times from India. The current trend in Infrastructure Development has brought to light the need for enhancing the production capacity of Cement as a whole for the entire country. More so the capacities are to be developed in areas where there are no such facilities at the moment. It is in this context that the conceivement of a Greenfield Cement Project to be established near Mukalla gains significance. more

Arabian Yemen Cement Co. Ltd. envisages setting up of a Greenfield Cement Project of 4000TPD capacity at a location 56KM north east of Mukalla City in the Governorate of Hadhramout, R.O. Yemen.
