Arabian Yemeni Cement Company Signs Agreement to Support
Chronic Disease Treatment Programs
On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, the Arabian Yemeni Cement
Company Limited signed an agreement at its headquarters to support and finance
treatment programs for chronic diseases with a total value of YER 30 million.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the company by Eng.
Waheeb Al-Azzab, Chief Executive Officer of the Arabian Yemeni Cement Company
Limited, and on behalf of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund by Mr.
Ahmed Hussein Al-Yahri, Director General of the Fund.
Eng. Al-Azzab stated that the agreement reflects the
company’s strategic commitment to supporting and contributing to key sectors,
including healthcare, education, and infrastructure development. He explained
that the company seeks to achieve this through partnerships with civil society
organizations and institutions operating in these fields. The initiative also aims
to alleviate the suffering of patients with chronic diseases and promote the
principles of social solidarity and community support, in line with the
company’s sense of social responsibility and its slogan, “Together for Serving
Our Community.”
For his part, Mr. Al-Yahri expressed his appreciation for
this initiative and support from the company, represented by its Board of
Directors and led by Sheikh Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Baqshan, Chairman of the Board.
He praised the company’s strong commitment to supporting people with
disabilities and addressing their needs.
Mr. Al-Yahri noted that the Fund specializes in serving and
supporting persons with disabilities, helping them meet their healthcare needs,
particularly in obtaining treatment for chronic diseases. He added that such
support is consistent with the company’s longstanding dedication to assisting
people with disabilities, who continue to make valuable contributions across
various sectors of society.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of department
directors and company officials.
