Under the generous patronage of
the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Abdrabbuh
Mansur Hadi, the Governor of Hadhramaut
Governorate and Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, inaugurated
today and launched operations for the new route project of Abdullah Gharib Aqaba Road in غيل باوزير (Ghayl Ba Wazir) District. This
important strategic road connects the coast and valley of Hadhramaut Governorate. The project was funded
75% by the local authority of the governorate and 25% by Arabian Yemeni Cement Company Limited, and
executed by SS Yemen Contracting Company,
at a total cost of 680 million Yemeni
Riyals.
Following the inauguration, Governor
Al-Bahsani expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the new route,
describing it as a vital road project, especially since the previous route had
been a major source of accidents that claimed many lives over the past years.
In his speech, he conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic and
his congratulations to the people of Hadhramaut on the completion of this
important project.
The Governor praised the efforts of
the workers, describing them as the true heroes of the project. He extended his
gratitude to the management of Arabian Yemeni
Cement Company Limited, the contractor, and everyone who contributed to
its success. He noted that this was the first project he initiated upon
assuming office as governor, affirming that Hadhramaut is moving toward major
investments.
For his part, the company’s General
Manager, Engineer Wahib Al-Azzab,
stated that the company has always played an active role in serving and
developing the community. He noted that over the past three years, the company
contributed 1.2 billion Yemeni Riyals
to various sectors and humanitarian initiatives in Hadhramaut and beyond, in
line with the company’s goal: “Yes to
Serving Our Community.”
Engineer Al-Azzab also confirmed
that the company is ready to sign new agreements with the local authority to
implement additional projects following the success of the new route project.
He thanked Governor Al-Bahsani, the Chairman of the Board, Board members, the
project contractor, company staff, officials, citizens, and everyone who
contributed to completing this vital project.
Following the launch of the new
route, a celebratory ceremony was held. During the event, a recorded speech
from the Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Baqshan, was presented, expressing his
happiness at the inauguration of the project, which he described as one of the
company’s most important and first partnership projects with the local
authority. Another speech was delivered by Salem Sultan Al-Hurr, General Manager of SS Yemen Contracting Company, in which
he reviewed the stages of implementing the new route project.
The ceremony also included a
welcoming song performed by artist Mazen
Al-Sibani, who is also one of the company’s employees, as well as
advertisements for the company’s products and a documentary report on the
implementation of the new route project.
Afterward, Governor Al-Bahsani
toured the factory departments, learning about its operational mechanisms and
reviewing the efforts of workers in developing the المصنع and increasing production.
At the conclusion of the ceremony,
Governor Al-Bahsani was honored with the company’s shield in recognition of his
role in supporting investment and completing this vital project. Several
officials who contributed to the success of the company’s activities were also
honored.

neighboring the company’s headquarters
